i need to try and keep ahead and update more.

but i think the real reason i lost much of my momentum is when we moved out of the US. there, while always being or feeling broke, i had hope that one day i will publish SOMETHING. i would find a way to do it myself or get good enough to be discovered by someone else. in any case the publishing of books is thriving in america.

so when we moves to ukraine, i found myself in an alien world where no one believes in public libraries and if you ask anyone about books, they say in the old days, yes the government supported such things. now a days, no one seriously publishes. all the books here seam to be translations from other countries.

so i feel completely cut off from the world. it would not be this way were i to live near a moder city that interacted with the worlds out side this country. Lviv i'm looking at you!

so i dont really believe i can publish anything i make. and as any new venture it scares me to think of doing it alone. i dont even know if i can publish something from here, ukraine, to be available in the US, and anywhere else.

this was brought to you by The Honesty Hour.

that really sucks, it's hard for me to even imagine.

i shouldn't assume you made this post looking for input or advice, especially from someone so ignorant as myself, but i'd hate to see someone give up hope after out-arting and -writing the majority of the guys trying to sell their stuff at the local comic-con
you probably wouldn't get anywhere near the same results as you would working with a proper publisher, but you might be able to sell a few books online using a print on demand service? i guess what i'm trying to say is the internet's a lot like a big city, and maybe you could find some kind of workaround. quite a few hobbyist comic makers have made it into print without necessarily doing anything in person, maybe they'd be willing to talk to you about it.

Was going to say pretty much what Helix_luco said, you could consider selling your work online somehow.

You already have a donate button, going into actual sales probably shouldn't be that big a step forwards.

Don't Give Up!!! You're extremely talented and have come up with a completely original style and story line. I stopped getting on SJ for a while and the only comic I picked back up was yours. I really hope you stick with it and quit being so hard on yourself!! :) Things will happen when it's time. In the meantime, just keep doing what you do best - entertaining a whole world of online comic readers!!!

Whether you're published or not, your readers still love this comic and will continue to faithfully check for the updates we can hardly wait to see!

I've seen several webcomic artists I follow do very successful kickstarter campaigns- basically printing their own books with a printing company and selling them directly to their fans without having to worry about start-up fees.
I'm not sure if it's a good fit for you, but might be worth checking out and possibly doing someday! :) In any case, I wish you luck in your endeavors.

Hey, I haven't seen this page before! *stare*
You have really captured the emptyness amazingly! The reader can feel it so strongly, the sorrow and pain. Nice.
This page is amazingly done, I really love the way those first four panels go.
Also, really admiring how you drew/colored in each and every one of them the hair always again. I wouldn't have done that. I would have simply been superlazy and copypaste XD
But that looks better.

Keep up your amazing work, you really inspire me! : D <3
